About Wine and Witness

Wine and Witness is a group for faith-faith filled women of all denominations to come together! It was inspired by the men’s group, called Hops & Hope. Hops & Hope was started by Dave Goeser in Fall 2018. They began meeting at the Outpost Pub & Provisions in Sherwood, WI. The event was for faith-filled men to come together in fellowship, listen to a speaker, and share a meal or beverage. The group grew from 20 guests to over 120+ and they outgrew the Outpost. Today, they meet the second Monday of each month at High Cliff Golf Course.

A few women from Dave’s church, Tri-Parish Faith Communities, really loved the men’s group, but knew it wasn’t for them – HAHA! 

 We prayed on it for a couple years, and when God’s timing was right for us, he let us know that it was time to start the women’s group, Wine & Witness. In the Summer of 2021 they all got together with Dave to brainstorm, and the women's group was launched in September 2021 and began meeting at Mud Creek Coffee in Sherwood. In January 2023, we decided to make it a monthly event throughout the year. 

Both groups have similar ways of the way we conduct our events. We welcome any faith-filled guests of any denomination. Free to attend, drinks and food paid for by the individual. We pass an offering basket to accept donations to cover event costs, and make a donation to our speakers and/or their charity. Presentation lasts for one hour, with fellowship taking place before and after.
